2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship head to LEC

Langley Events Centre (LEC) is no stranger to hosting large-scale provincial, national and international events. But the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships will mark the facility’s largest-ever event.
The Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) announced LEC as the host venue at the closing ceremonies of the 2015 WILC, which were held on the Onondaga Nation in New York. Canada won that event and has taken gold at all four previous World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. The 2019 championships are scheduled for Sept. 18 to 29, 2019.
“On behalf of the Canadian Lacrosse Association and its members across Canada, I would like to thank the FIL for awarding this event to Canada,” stated Joey Harris, President, Canadian Lacrosse Association. “Hosting an international event such as this will have a positive impact on the growth of our sport and will give us the opportunity to showcase our national team program on home soil.
